Jackie Robinson West All-Stars honored by Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field
Saturday the White Sox honored the United States Little League champs at U.S. Cellular Field and Monday it was the Cubs turn at Wrigley Field.

CHICAGO -- Saturday the White Sox honored the United States Little League champs at U.S. Cellular Field and Monday it was the Cubs turn at Wrigley Field.

The Jackie Robinson West All-Stars sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the seventh inning stretch, but the day started much earlier for the boys.

The team looked awfully comfortable at the Friendly Confines.

Young players for Jackie Robinson West at home at Wrigley. Monday the National Little League Champs get some appreciate on the North Side, and the Cubs manager is among their fans.

"Watching you guys on a rain delay, and we were jumping up and down," Rick Renteria told the boys.

Some Cubs players donated to the League so that the boys' families could be at the Little League World Series.

"When I first heard about the financial situation, it just reminded me of growing up myself and all the sacrifices, credit card bills, that my parents ran up, so it was just something that we were in a position to help and it was something that from our hearts we really wanted these kids to enjoy this time with their families," said Cubs pitcher Wesley Wright.

"This is amazing. The boys, they truly deserve it and I'm just so happy for them. It's something that they'll never forget. It's a dream come true," said Donita Butler, mother of JRW player DJ Butler.

"To see them make that childhood dream of meeting their favorite players, wearing a Cubs jersey and down here on the field it's really exciting," said Jackie Robinson West Director Bill Haley.

The boys took the field, always eager to play baseball, even if it's just a warm up.

Their Coach Darold Butler threw out the first pitch as the champions victory tour continued.

"It's crazy because you see them on TV and they're famous and everything, and we get to see them, go in the clubhouse and be with them," Ed Howard said.

"It was real fun to see all of them. I met everybody. I got a glove from Javier, got a bat from Anthony Rizzo," said Marquis Jackson.

"I love all the attention. Thanks everyone. I love to see the smile on his face. I love it. It's great," said Linda Sneed, Marquis's mother.

Last week, the Jackie Robinson West All-Stars were welcomed back to Chicago with a rally on the city's South Side, a parade through the city and another rally at Millennium Park.
