For Cubs fans, these are the days to stock up on lots of Cubs memories. For a man from Momence, it's time to stock up on lots more Cub stuff.

For 36 years Bret Pansa has been fixing old cars no one else knows how to fix. He is also one of our area's biggest Cub fans.

Just a short walk from Bret's garage is his office where everything Cubs lives. The flag flew at half-staff after an extra-inning loss to the Giants.

"Hopefully it will be raised to the top for the rest of the winter," Penza said.

Pansa's office is a home run trot through Cubs memory lane. If you can think of a Cubs souvenir he probably has it.

"When I was probably six years old I was watching a Cubs game, some balls some photos and I have kept them," Pansa said.

His favorites are photos of himself and his friend Milt Pappas and anything to do with Ron Santo.

"He hustled every day and he played hard," Pansa said.

Not all of the items are about the Cubs. For instance, one old shot goes back to the Babe and Lou Gehrig.

"That photo was brought to me from a guy who was working in a trash company that found in a dumpster after they cleaned out a sale and it's autographed."

It's the home of Ernie and Mickey, Harry Caray, the 1929 Cubs and the 1908 World Series champs from 108 years ago.

Bret says he has well over 500 items, but one of his favorites is something very old and very tiny that he picked up many years ago at the Friendly Confines.

"This is a giveaway when you went to the ballpark. You put it on your ear and it would give you WGN radio -- only WGN -- and you could listen to the ballgame at the same time you were watching it."
