Montini football wins 6A Division in first-ever undefeated season

LOMBARD, Ill. (WLS) -- There were celebrations on and off the field for the Montini Catholic High School football team; they're state champions in the 6A Division!

They finished off a perfect season by beating Crete-Monee 38-15 last Saturday. That night they celebrated on the field.

A pep rally was held Friday at school to celebrate their big win.

Prince Walker was one of the teammates honored during the rally; he's the son of Carrie Walker, who works on the ABC7 Chicago assignment desk.

Understandably, she's very proud of her son and the team - it was Montini's first-ever undefeated season.
