Thief steals vehicle, drops off 7-year-old in backseat in Back of the Yards

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 7-year-old boy who was in the backseat of a vehicle that was stolen early Thursday was dropped off down the block in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, Chicago police said.

The vehicle was left running and unattended at about 11 a.m. in the 1900-block of West 47th Street when someone jumped in and drove away.

The boy was reunited with his family, but the vehicle was still missing Thursday afternoon.
