CTA Blue Line train service resumes after loss of power
CTA Blue Line trains were running again Wednesday afternoon after a loss of power near 400 South Clinton.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- CTA Blue Line trains were running again Wednesday afternoon after a loss of power near 400 South Clinton.

Two southbound trains lost power just after 9 a.m. Trains were single-tracking for four hours on the northbound tracks.

The Chicago Fire Department assisted about 200 CTA Blue Line passengers after the two trains lost power and were evacuated outside the Clinton station. Passengers were escorted along the tracks to the platform and then to waiting buses. All passengers were able to exit on their own, officials said.

Normal service resumed around 12:30 p.m., but the CTA said to expect residual delays.
