Dundee Road closed from Milwaukee to Sanders after Wheeling crash

WHEELING, Ill. (WLS) -- Dundee Road is closed in both directions from Milwaukee Avenue to Sanders Road in Wheeling after a crash involving an overturned dump truck and an SUV.

Chopper 7 HD flew over emergency crews at the scene on Dundee near Portwine near the Tri-State Tollway just after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Several people were reportedly injured in the crash.

Several surrounding streets are jammed due to the closure, including Milwaukee Avenue, Willow Road and Lake Cook Road.

Officials are investigating the cause of the crash.
