CHICAGO (WLS) -- Service was restored to the Metra Electric Line's South Chicago branch early Monday morning.

An alleged drunk driver crashed a semi truck into Metra's power lines Sunday night near 74th and Exchange, officials said. The incident affected service between Stony Island and 93rd Street.

Metra crews worked through the night to repair the lines and finished around 4 a.m. Monday, just in time for the morning rush.
