Westbound South Shore trains delayed up to an hour

CHICAGO (WLS) -- South Shore trains are delayed up to an hour on Monday due to scheduled overhead wire and bridge upgrades, according to the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District's website.

The South Shore Line runs between Chicago and South Bend, Ind. NICTD said the upgrades are scheduled for Oct. 13-28.

The website said these trains are affected:

Westbound Train 12 is running 50-60 minutes late

Westbound Train 110 is running 45-50 minutes late, delayed indefinitely

Westbound Train 112 is running 20-30 minutes late, delayed indefinitely

Temporary busing is available between South Bend and Carroll Avenue in Michigan City. NICTD said there will be no busing to or from Hudson Lake.

These trains between South Bend and Michigan City are canceled due to the upgrades:

Weekday Eastbound Train 401, Westbound Trains 422 and 424

Weekend Eastbound Trains 701 and 703, Westbound Train 710
