Pilot reports drone sighting near Nashville airport

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WLS) -- A flight from Chicago had a close call with a drone Wednesday night.

An American Eagle pilot reported seeing the unmanned aircraft as he landed at the Nashville Airport.

His sighting was relayed by air traffic control, which said: "Just for a heads up in case it happens to move, the previous aircraft landing on the right side reported a drone about 300 feet."

Federal Aviation Administration officials say they are investigating.
