CHICAGO (WLS) -- A light dusting of snow caused icy roads and multiple vehicle crashes early Friday in the Chicago area.

The worst of the roads was the Kennedy Expressway, which had a roughly 45 minute travel time on the inbound lanes. Several spin-outs and crashes were reported on the Kennedy between Armitage and Division in both directions.

At roughly 6 a.m., road crews had begun salting the roads.
