SANTA ROSA SOUND, Florida -- Two large waterspouts appeared off of the Florida panhandle in Santa Rosa Sound between Pensacola Beach and Navarre.

The first spout latest about 15 minutes and appeared unusually close to shore. It dissipated, but reformed in the same area.

The waterspouts never made it onto shore and caused no damage.

WEAR-TV meteorologists said waterspouts in that area aren't unusual from

July through September, but these held together and were visible far longer than most.
