CHICAGO (WLS) --We're about to get a taste of fall in the middle of July. The jet stream will take a dip in the Midwest, bringing unseasonably cool temperatures to the entire Chicago area.
The far west suburbs could see early Tuesday morning temperatures as low as 50, with areas near the lake hovering in the mid-50s.
"If we get anywhere near or below 52 degrees tonight, officially out of O'Hare, that would be a record low for this date," said ABC7 Meteorologist Jerry Taft.
Many areas of Chicago are only expected to warm up to 70 by Tuesday afternoon, which is 15 degrees below average for this time of year.
