1 injured after SUV slams into Golden Nugget Pancake House in Belmont Cragin

CHICAGO (WLS) -- An SUV slammed into a Golden Nugget Pancake House in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred in the 3000-block of North Central Avenue at about 7:15 a.m.. It is not clear what caused the crash.

A 70-year-old woman who is an employee of the restaurant suffered non-life-threatening injuries to her leg, shoulder and foot, police said. She was transported to Community First Hospital.

The driver was issued two citations, police said.
