Boy, 17, shot in the head in far Northwest Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 17-year-old boy was shot in the head in the city's far Northwest Side, police said.

The shooting happened around 3 p.m. Friday in the 5100-block of North Austin Avenue, police said. The boy was hospitalized in unknown condition.

No other details have been released.
