CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new report shows that tens of thousands of people are still breathing in lots of pollution at Union Station.

The EPA found diesel exhaust pollution at the underground platform was three times higher than at street level. At rush hour, that grew to nearly six times higher than in the middle of the day.

Metra has been working to reduce emissions for years by using cleaner diesel fuel and reducing idling.
