Social Media Week Chicago underway at Merchandise Mart

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The fifth annual Social Media Week Chicago is underway at the Merchandise Mart.

ABC7 helped develop content and programming for the week, which examines innovation, entrepreneurship, the social good and more.

A panel discussion was held Thursday afternoon on the implication of digital technology on media coverage of political campaigns.

Social Media Week runs through Friday.
