Oak Lawn police search for purse snatcher

OAK LAWN, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are searching for a man who attempted to snatch a woman's purse until the woman chased him and wrestled him to the ground.

Oak Lawn police say three women were walking in the 9700-block of kostner yesterday when a man took one of their purses. A female robber joined in and tried to steal another woman's purse.

The thieves broke free and took off in a tan Toyota.
