CHICAGO (WLS) -- Sunday was a cold day for a dip in Lake Michigan, but dozens of brave people turned out at North Avenue Beach in Chicago for "Shelter Shiver."
The 7th annual charity event raised money for local animal shelter, Alive Rescue, which helps area pets find good homes.
Organizers had to use shovels to break some ice on lake before swimmers could jump in.
