1 shot in Zion bowling alley after gang fight, police say

ZION, Ill. (WLS) -- One person was injured after what police say was likely a gang-related shooting at a bowling alley in unincorporated Zion.

Police responded to reports of a person with a gun at Pinsters Bowling Alley in the 1600-block of Sheridan Road around 1:40 a.m. Sunday, finding several hundred people fleeing the alley. A victim, who was shot in the leg and head, was located and transported to a local hospital. Officials said the victim is expected to survive.

Investigators say the shooting followed what was likely a dispute between rival gang members.

Police are continuing to investigate.
