Car, apartment burglaries reported in Morgan Park and Beverly, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are warning residents of the city's Morgan Park and Beverly neighborhoods about a series of break-ins in the area.

Police said offenders have been prying open doors of cars at Marshfield Plaza shopping center in Morgan Park and stealing what's inside.

In the Beverly neighborhood, police said an unknown offender has been targeting apartment buildings during the daytime hours in the 10400-block of South Hale, allegedly making entry by prying open front doors. Two incidents were reported on Jan. 29 between 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Another incident was reported on Feb. 12 between 4:30-7:30 p.m.
