CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two men accused of killing a man in a fight over a woman pleaded not guilty in court Thursday.

James Briscoe and Armonte Hooper are both charged with murder.

The shooting happened in January 25 at the McCormick Place Hyatt.

Prosecutors say Briscoe and Armonte went to the Hyatt to confront the victim -- Courtney Taylor, 23.

Someone accused Taylor of hitting on his girlfriend, and a fight broke out.

Prosecutors say Hooper started shooting and Briscoe egged him on, telling him to "finish off" the victim.

Taylor, of the 6200-block of South Paulina Avenue, was shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Jan. 31, 23-year-old Hooper was charged with first-degree murder in Taylor's shooting death.
