Man injured in altercation at Swissotel Chicago hotel

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 41-year-old man was injured early Tuesday at the Swissotel Chicago hotel in an altercation that started after he accused two women of stealing his watch, police said.

The man, along with a friend, invited two women they met at bar to his room at the hotel, located at 323 East Upper Wacker Drive in the Gold Coast neighborhood.

At about 3:30 a.m., the man told police that one of the women stole his watch.

A struggle ensued and a glass table was broken.

The man sustained lacerations to his foot and upper body and taken to Northwestern Hospital.

The women got away with the watch, police said.
