Lake County State's Attorney adds 2nd comfort dog to staff

A black Labrador named Hitch has joined the Lake County State's Attorney's office as the officer's second comfort dog.

Hitch joins Mitchell, a yellow Labrador.

Mitchell has been working for the past year, primarily with children who suffered physical or mental abuse.

Hitch will now help defendants in drug, mental health and veterans courts.

The Lake County is the first state's attorney's office in the state to have comfort dogs.
