Police: Man grabbed, touched boy in Portage Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are searching for a man who grabbed a child on a bicycle on Chicago's Northwest Side.

Police said happened Saturday evening in the 4800-block of W. Cornelia in the Portage Park neighborhood.

An 11-year-old boy was riding his bike with friends when police say a man grabbed him, touched him inappropriately, and said "I thought you were my girlfriend."

Several people helped the boy. The man ran away.

He's described by police as a bald white man standing 5'9", weighing 200 pounds with blue or hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow safety vest.
