Rollover semi causes delays on I-90 in Hoffman Estates

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (WLS) -- A semi overturned in a construction zone on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway just before Route 59 in northwest suburban Hoffman Estates early Wednesday morning.

All westbound lanes were temporarily closed at the beginning of the morning commute as emergency crews worked to upright the semi. Emergency equipment also blocked one eastbound lane. All lanes were re-opened by around 6:30 a.m.

There was no word on injuries in the crash.

Investigators are looking into what caused the semi to roll over. There was very dense fog in the area at the time of the crash. Visibility was near zero in parts of the Chicago area.
