Winning lottery ticket worth $1M sold in Mundelein

MUNDELEIN, Ill. (WLS) -- A Mundelein store sold a $1 million winning ticket for Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing.

The Illinois Lottery said the winning ticket was purchased at the Circle K at 1991 West Maple Avenue. The winning ticket matched five numbers to win $1 million.

Lottery officials urge the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they are able to visit one of the lottery's five prize centers in the Chicago area.

Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
