Worker falls from roof, impaled on fence in Kenwood

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 50-year-old construction worker fell from the roof of a Kenwood building Thursday afternoon and was impaled by a fence, police said.

The incident occurred at about 4 p.m. in the 1300-block of East 48th Street, police said.

The man was transported in critical condition to Northwestern Hospital.
