CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Metra passenger was hurt by a brick thrown at the train he was riding Tuesday evening.

Mario Avila was on an inbound train from Naperville near 18th and Western in Chicago's Lower West Side neighborhood. He says the brick hit the window in the exact spot where he was resting his head against the glass.

"The impact of the brick between my head was just Plexiglas. I ended up in the hospital with a concussion and a strained neck," Avila says.

A Metra spokesperson says the incident is being investigated by BNSF railroad police.
