Man, 80, with Alzheimer's missing from Palestine, Ill.

PALESTINE, Ill. (WLS) -- Illinois State Police are asking for help locating Ernest Wayne Garrad, 80, who has an onset of Alzheimer's disease and is missing from Palestine, Ill.

Police say Garrad was last seen at 10 a.m. on June 27, on his way from Palestine to Danville, Ill., to visit his sister and the VA Hospital, and that his cell phone last had power around 4:30 a.m. on June 28 but it has since been turned off or lost power.

He is driving a gold four-door 2014 Chrysler with the license plate S358283.

Police describe Garrad as a white male, 5 ft. 11 in. tall and 196 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt and blue jeans.
