Chicago police said one person was killed and one person was critically injured in a pin-in crash in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood.

Fire officials say heavy extraction was needed to free the victims from the crash at East 103rd and South State streets. Both victims were taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where a 48-year-old woman was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash, as well as the age and gender of the second victim, was not immediately clear.
