Gold-plated pistol belonging to Nazi leader Hermann Göring to go up for auction in Illinois

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (WLS) -- A golden gun that once belonged to Adolf Hitler's right hand man is going up for auction in Illinois.

Rock Island Auction Company in Illinois is putting the gold-plated pistol of Hermann Gring up for bid in September.

The gun has an estimated price of $250,000-$400,000. It is one of nearly three thousand items, mostly antique guns, up for auction from September 9th to the 11th.
