Woman mugged in broad daylight down the street from Mayor Emanuel's home

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was mugged in broad daylight on Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's street in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood.

Police said the attack happened Tuesday afternoon in the 4200-block of North Hermitage Avenue. The woman said a man got out of a car, pushed her down and took her bag.

Then he got back into the car and it drove off.

The entire incident happened just down the street from Mayor Emanuel's home, where a security detail is stationed 24 hours a day.
