10-car pileup, amazing rescue caught on dash cam video

BINGHAMTON, New York -- Dramatic dash cam video shows a violent 10-car pileup as it happened on a highway in New York last week.

A car went up in flames on impact and bystanders risked their own lives by running to help a woman who was trapped in a vehicle.

Eyewitnesses said flames were shooting everywhere, and broken glass was flying all over the scene.

That woman survived with just minor cuts and bruises thanks to the help of strangers who came to her rescue.

Ten people were taken to the hospital. Two suffered serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
