FRESNO, Calif. -- Two California police officers helped save one life, or nine.

Two Parlier police officers helped save one life, or nine.

When the two Parlier officers discovered a hungry kitten trapped in a drainage pipe, they decided to rescue the kitten with a little incentive: setting out some food.

Officers Adolfo Jimenez and Daniel Corona happened to have a partially eaten burrito and fed tiny pieces to the scared kitty until it emerged from the hole.

Parlier Animal Control has the little guy this morning, but Officer Corona hopes to adopt him and name him "Burrito."
