Decorating tips for Thanksgiving

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thanksgiving is a chance to welcome friends and family into your home. With that in mind, Chief Eventeur at A Perfect Event, Debi Lilly, joined ABC 7 to talk about some of the hottest trends for Thanksgiving decorating.

Some of those trends: Copper and Velvet. Think velvet pumpkins and copper pieces, which dress the table, mantle and more, layered with fresh mini pumpkins, florals, candles and rose petals. For depth and shine, cluster copper vases filled with textural floral bouquets down the center of the table, accented by gilded pumpkin spice candles and velvet pumpkins. Add natural elements, like a sprig of seeded eucalyptus at each setting, for an organic, soft touch.
