Family, colleagues pay tribute to fallen firefighter Daniel Capuano 1 year after his death

CHICAGO (WLS) -- He lost his life on the job one year ago Wednesday and Chicago firefighter Daniel Capuano's loves ones are making sure his memory lives on.

People gathered at a fire house near 79th Street and South Chicago Avenue to pay tribute to the husband and father.

Capuano died after dropping two stories through an unmarked elevator shaft as he fought a fire on the South Side.

The warehouse where he fell is being torn down.
