Freight train, SUV crash in Blue Island

BLUE ISLAND, Ill. (WLS) -- An SUV crashed into a CSX freight train early Friday morning in south suburban Blue Island.

A source said firefighters responded around 2:30 a.m. to a report of a crash near 135th Place and South Western Avenue. There was extensive damage to the SUV.

The source said three people were hurt. Authorities have not yet confirmed that information.
