Millennium Park extends skating hours

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The ice rink at Millennium Park will have extended hours during Chicago Public Schools winter break.

The hours at the skating rink will be extended Monday through Friday next week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Starting on Saturday, there will also be free youth skating lessons starting one hour before the rink opens. There are no lessons on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.

The rink and lessons are free if you bring your own skates. Otherwise, skates are available for rent for $12 a pair.
