2-year-old injured in fall from North Side building

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 2-year-old child fell Sunday from the second story of a building in Chicago's Park West neighborhood on the North Side, police said.

The child was taken to Lurie's Children's Hospital in serious to critical condition.

The incident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. in the 500-block of West Wrightwood Avenue, police said.

The child's gender was not immediately available.
