CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thousands of people and police officers gathered near Soldier Field Saturday morning for the 13th annual Run to Remember.

The run took place at the Gold Star Families Memorial and Park. The run remembers officers who were killed or seriously wounded in the line of duty.

The event raises tens of thousands of dollars for the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, which helps families of fallen and catastrophically injured officers.
