The Hinsdale Little League team visited ABC7 on Aug. 15, 2017.

The Hinsdale Little League team fell short of playing in the Little League World Series.

The team played Saturday and lost 6-3 to a team from Grosse Pointe, Mich. If they had won, they would have moved on to the World Series.

The Little League World Series begins Thursday and will be televised on ESPN 2.

A watch party was held in Hinsdale to cheer on the boys, and several people gathered hours before the game started.

The team had been undefeated all season.

A group of Little League players from Hinsdale were competing Saturday for a chance to go to the Little League World Series.
