Salvation Army offers emergency disaster training in Chicago area

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Salvation Army is offering emergency disaster training in Chicago for anyone interested in helping with critical relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey in Texas, and possibly Hurricane Irma in Florida.[br /][br /]Registration is required, but all courses are free and open to the public. Lunch is provided for full-day courses.[br /][Ads /][br /]The courses being offered are:[br /][br /][b]Volunteer Emergency Disaster Canteen Training[/b][br /]Saturday, Sept. 9, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.[br /]Saturday, Sept. 16, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.[br /][Ads /][br /]Pb]Volunteer Emergency Disaster Safe Food Handling (ServSafe*)[/b][br /]Tuesday, Sept. 12, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.[br /][br /]These training sessions will be held at the Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services center at 1000 Pratt Blvd. in Elk Grove Village.
