Home Depot notifies customers of apparent security breach

Home Depot has begun officially notifying customers who were apparently the victims of a security breach.

The nation's largest home improvement chain says hackers stole 53 million email addresses.

The company says the stolen file did not contain passwords, credit card information or other sensitive information.

Home Depot says customers should watch for email scams that try to trap you into revealing your personal information.
