Chicago defender Charities holds annual scholarship gala

CHICAGO (WLS) -- It's nearly Bud Billiken time. To kick things off the Chicago Defender Charities held its annual scholarship gala Thursday night.

As part of the celebration awards were presented to several students.

Windy City Live's Val Warner was the emcee for the gala.
