Senior home workers steal more than $600K from woman with dementia, lawsuit claims

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Several workers at a Lincoln Park senior home are accused of stealing more than $600,000 from a 97-year-old resident with dementia.

A lawsuit claims that workers cashed checks, made withdrawals and transferred money from several of the woman's bank accounts. The woman lives at the Symphony Residences of Lincoln Park.

The senior home issued a statement saying that the suspects no longer work for the facility and other staff members have been provided with training.
