Furniture store betting on no snow in January

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A publicity stunt could pay off big time for Chicago area customers shopping at one of six Art Van Furniture stores Thursday, New Year's Day.

If you buy furniture, mattresses or clearance center items and it snows at least three inches on February 1 you get a full refund.

That includes sales tax and delivery fees.

The snow would be measured at O'Hare and must fall between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. February 1.
