CHICAGO (WLS) -- The message at a Chicago church Wednesday night was that black lives matter, and all lives matter.

Activists and community members who gathered say they believe service cuts and educational gaps make their community in the 37th Ward less safe.

Speakers say they are the experts about their own communities and need to advocate for change.

The forum took place at the New Kingdom Church.
