Bullet hits car on OB ramp to Stevenson Expressway from SB Lake Shore Drive

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are investigating a possible shooting after a bullet struck a car on the outbound ramp to the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) from southbound Lake Shore Drive overnight.

The female driver said a bullet pierced the rear door on the driver's side of her vehicle around 1:15 a.m. Friday. She was not hurt.

Police are looking into where the bullet came from.

Both the inbound and outbound ramps on I-55 to Lake Shore Drive were closed while investigators searched the scene for further evidence. The ramps reopened around 4 a.m. Friday.
