Man, 22, wounded in Englewood shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 22-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting inside a store in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood.

Police said shots were fired near West 69th Street and South Racine Avenue around 9 a.m. Thursday. Neighbors said they heard numerous shots. One resident reported at least ten.

The man was wounded in the shoulder and abdomen, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition.

Authorities said the victim is a documented gang member.

The circumstances of the shooting are under investigation.
