WYOMING, Mich. (WLS) -- Remember the ALS ice bucket challenge? A U.S. Army veteran is hoping to start a similar challenge, but this one is physical.

Nate Koehn issued the challenge to raise money and awareness for preventing suicide among veterans.

If you can pull off the 22 pushups, you donate $5. But if your arms aren't quite up for it, you donate $22.

The $22 represents the 22 veterans who reportedly commit suicide every day.

"It feels good to know that once the whole challenge is done, I'll be able to send the money to #22KILL and so they can further help other veterans," Koehn said.

Anyone who accepts the challenge has 22 hours to complete it.

All the money raised is being donated to the charity #22KILL.
